Of white men jumping and bar insanity!

I need some humor so I had to replay some old comedy episodes I have:
White comedian on Comic view: “You know white people don’t fight, we press charges!”
“Call yourself a pimp, you aint nothing more than a pimple”
“I believe white men CAN jump, they just prefer to pay black people to do it for them”
  • The 2 least married groups are black women and Asian men: but the 2 groups tend not to marry each other?

So I have come to the firm conclusion that the bar has driven me insane. Anyone who knows me knows I HATE to study. The good Lord has blessed me with natural ability but to keep me grounded saddled me with lack of focus. My father can study for four hours straight and not move a muscle except to turn a page. I study for 4 mins and need to move. Imagine the cold sweat that ran down my back when our intro prof said “Study for 3 hours straight and then take a break”. Even in my exams I take breaks, every half an hour or so I stare around or fidget or go to the restroom, I just can’t sit still and do academic pursuits for that long.

Yet now I am expected to study for 6 – 8 hours a day? Father help me! So I have to show much love to many of my peeps who I thought were horrible at studying because of them I am getting the motivation to spend long hours in the library.

So many of you may have seen the in class blogging episodes of previous blogs (too lazy to link them now) and others have asked advice on classes to take. Well one class in particular I have steadily bashed all semester with the proviso that if my grade came in and it was to my liking I would take it all back and declare that I love the class…well grades are in and I am now a LOVER not a hater!

Shout out to the ‘Gotchi’ and her new threat to sue everyone, I know if I don’t give the blog-out I may be next on the hit list which continues to expand!

TB lets get sushi: I see you working on that MBE, MPC crap but Spicy tuna trumps torts any day: plus I know that we had the same prof so we know about the same amount of material…very little!

Doodling while bored in barbri! So I borrowed the sobe logo.

“I’m the Juggernaut Bitch!”

I saw X 3 yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it (despite the guilty feelings that I should be studying for Barbri instead). It is just another in the long line of comic book movies that critics have no idea how to properly critique: One critic said that X 3 was much better than the 2 preceding movies but then gave it a C-! Amazing since I thought the first 2 in the series were at worse B movies, so to give X3 a C- what did he give the first 2?

Anyway if you absolutely have no time to check out the movie or don’t want to swing the $10 to watch it (Hazard center does $5 Tuesdays) check out this short cartoon clip with dubbed in voices…thanks to Arman for the link.

Is Paula Abdul actually drunk while selling jury here?

Perseverance is good

Weird to think that Gary Payton might win an NBA title just from the sheer fact that he has hung around for ever!

Tick tock: Mets the Braves are Coming!

I still feel like a student...

It’s weird I thought I had mentally moved on, but until you cross that stage and the announcement “I present the 2006 graduates…” is made you still somewhat cling to the last vestiges of the student life. Plus the fact that I have to sit in a room filled with another 500 persons desperate to pass the bar on the first time makes it such a surreal feeling to know that AARON D HAS A JD!

Royalty arrives today!

In just over 14 hours the family arrives. It will be my parents and sister’s first trip to California and thanks to Barbri I will have no time to show them around. But what I can do for them is give them a great home cooked meal when they get here. Today’s planned meal: A Caesar salad, Grilled jerk shrimp with a spicy and tangy honey glaze for appetizers and then pork chops in mushroom gravy with Baked Rigatoni for the main course. Probably the last time this summer that I can spend any major time in the kitchen…

Of course the arrival of parents also means the sanitization of the Apartment: everything even mildly eye brow raising has been taken down; thrown away or boxed up. The innocent young son is now on display. After all not many people my age have had their father expressly threaten to write them out of his will…from the pulpit!

Bloody Insomnia!

It is almost 4.30am and I cannot sleep at all...up doing work since I am tired of just lying in bed doing nothing. The sucky thing about insomnia when you have to wake up early in the morning is that u can’t always tell when you are going to have a bad night and plan accordingly. For instance tonight I fell asleep fairly easily at 12.30 or so but then I woke up at 1.15am at that point I figured I would fall back asleep that was 3 hours ago!!! Thing is that if at 12 I had realized that what seemed like approaching sleep would only be a nap I would have taken a sleeping pill, but by the time (say around 2.30am) I realized that my sleep would be affected it was too late to take a sleep aid since they all call for at least a chance of 7-8 hours sleep and I need to be up by the latest 7.30 am today. DAMN YOU BARBRI already ruining my summer :)

Barbri starts 2morrow

I guess this means that May 23rd is the official end of summer!

Saw Da Vinci Code 2nite, too ez to say it's not as good as the book: It will be a blockbuster but if your fifty/fifty on whether to see it I would suggest saving your money for X3!

It's raining again!!!!

I know I have become spoiled, anytime it rains I am shocked. But the last couple months have been rather unusual for San Diego. I still cannot decide if I would prefer the usual June gloom or a nice sunny June while I study for the bar: The bar is depressing enough do I want depressing weather or do I want clear skies that tend to cheer the heart but tempt the soul?

Basketball and World Cup football

Tomorrow should be a huge night for Basketball. I expect the soon to be crowned NBA champs to come from one the 4 teams playing tomorrow. I know that by saying that I am completely discounting the east teams, but I do not think that either Detroit or Miami can take out the Spurs, Clips, Suns or Mavs. The beauty of the game though is that you have to play it all out.

In less than 2 weeks the world cup comes on and America has one of its best teams ever. I will be interested in seeing just how far they can go. My pick remains the same as it was 2 years ago…Brazil. It is just hard to pick against a team that looks like an all star line up. I am intrigued with some players though that I expect to see great things from. Portugal’s Ronaldo is just amazing with his control; Can Beckham over come all the hype and glamour around him and deliver a performance that England can rally around and will Wayne Rooney fully heal in time to play at all; is Spain’s revamped squad ready; will Ronaldinho and Ronaldo combine to set goal scoring records; Can Thierry Henry lift France on his shoulders?

Crazy to think that only 7 countries/teams have ever won a world cup

SOCA WARRIORS; since my native land did not make it I am rooting like crazy for the land that gave me half my blood: Can Latapy, Stern John (gotta love that name) and Yorke come through for Trinidad? Tough road to hoe especially for a first time team.

Even the happiest of us can have a sad moment!

So I am sitting home and I am pissed and sad, but it’s one of those moments when I am not sure all the reasons for being pissed and sad and the combination of emotions leaves me wrecked. It might be a combination of a number of factors.
  • I hate getting shouted at: I know I shout a lot; but that is because sadly I am bloody loud, and I get exuberant which is a bad combination…but I do not purposefully shout at people. In fact I have actually made a conscious effort this year that when mad I will not raise my voice while talking to the person I am mad at. To those who saw me attack the referee in the IM game take note of the portion that says “effort” it is not always successful

  • I am mad when I find out that something I do pisses someone off but they have just harbored the resentment until it bubbles over at inappropriate moments. As cocky as I am, as cold as I am, as emotionally unavailable (lies) as I have been accused of being, I still prefer discourse of emotions than blowing up.

  • To say that I do something to you, so to get back at me, you will do it back to me to hurt me then respond with the words “you do it all the time” does not take into account the fact that I probably do not know what the hell I am doing to you.

  • LEARN THIS NOW EVERYONE…as cold a person as I am, and as much as I like to kid and joke around, I never, ever intentionally try to hurt anyone with words. For me to attempt to embarrass someone, to cause them pain would mean that I am PISSED at you, that we actively have open animosity towards each other; that I have decided to make you feel as bad as I feel. If I have said something to embarrass ANY of you. Let me know, because there is a big difference between trying to playfully tease someone and actively hurting someone. The problem is that often the ones doing the teasing cross the line between fun and pain and do not realize it. I know I cross the line, in fact sometimes I am so far across the border that I cannot see the line, but know this and hear this all: If you are my friend or hell even a casual acquaintance I have not intentionally tried to hurt you.

  • Do not shout at me! Said above and repeated here: My parents do not shout at me, my professors do not shout at me and none of you rank as high as those persons so quit it.

  • Yes I love Texas, I love the state and I love my school: I wear my pride openly: Deal with it! I understand that I am from one of the top 3 most hated states; in fact I would not be shocked if Texas was the most hated state. I know I come from a state of big hair, big oil, big egos and big attitudes, but I now live in a state filled with big ego too! Acting superior to my state in front of me especially if you have never visited my state is plain stupid and begging for me to rep the horns! Never forget that I went to school in a state that still believes that America owes it! And stop the damn talk about CA being able to break away from America and survive on its own. NO state can thrive if it breaks from the union. As strong as the GDPs of TX, NY and CA are, much of that comes from their affiliations with the rest of America.

  • Much of the Texas pride is just that TEXAS PRIDE: there is no state in the union that I think is a horrible state (there are definitely a few that I would rather not live in though), I do love CA in fact that is the reason why I have chosen to take the bar here, I have decided to live here and make my career here…but Kiss My Ass if you think that I love Texas any less or if your hatred of Texas will sway me!

  • I do not lie, but I conceal a lot…deal with it!

  • Love it or hate it, I will make fun of your school, hell I even make fun of my own schools (UWI, UT and USD) it is what I do it’s what I will always do! I took a tonne of crap from everyone when UT was on its run to a title and I took even more crap when we had our losing streak to OU, it is something that any fan of Texas knows is going to happen hell one of my friends just admitted yesterday that he has watched 24 straight Texas games just hoping that at the end of one of them we would lose so he could call me to laugh (those are the friends I have). Well the bitch is still waiting, still watching and I am still laughing at him, at some point the streak like all streaks must die, and I will receive the call and then I will bring up the fact that he went to UNLV and we do not have enough fingers to count the last time they won a title that meant anything.

  • I am getting an award on Friday, and yet I felt for the longest time that I had to hide it from my friends because there seems to be so much resentment as to how the school awards prizes, I wanted my friends to come out and celebrate with me, but I understand that no one wants to hit up the Pre Graduation ceremony!

  • The anger has gone like I knew it would while I typed but the melancholy lingers, I think I will just take a drive up the coast to clear it all…blessings!

Enjoy a fun video...6.24am post

Clearly I cannot fall asleep w/o an early morn post nowadays. So one of my favorite SNL clips in the last few years is "Lazy Sunday" well check out this version of it done by members of our armed forces. It had me cracking up who knows it might be because I haven't slept so everything seems funnier at this time of the morn. I do like the idea of our soldiers at least having some moments of fun...enjoy

Oh and because I know my West Coast peeps hate when I mention Texas and I know y'all take yourselves way too seriously here is a video specially for y'all: "Tru dat tru dat...let's get back in the corolla"

Just another reason why I LOVE TEXAS!

Texas is considering raising the speed limit in some areas to 80mph!!!!

No rest for the weary!

So tonight was the unofficial section B 2L party I guess. Fun time, great to kick it with the 2/3Ls. Sadly though it is now 6.20 am and I still have not fallen asleep. The family arrives in exactly one week and true to form I have not received an itinerary from them, gotta love ’em!

This feels like undergrad! Guess this means use of pharmaceutical aids for sleep. To those who expected me to meet my obligations for today…uh forget it!

Today is my last ever law school Final - providing I do not fail!

I have created my first ever law school outline (albeit for my last ever law school exam) and I am so proud of it that I keep trying to give it away and no one wants it! Granted it’s for an obscure class that most peeps I know are not in. AND most importantly the final is in less than 9 hours but damn it – this is a good outline!

Who would have thought that the NCAA could be beaten!

Amazing that Texas is the only school with this exemption! Sad to see that kid go...

Study break smiles

I know I already posted it but I just love watching the guy in the front seat do the hand move to "Stack cheese"!

This one is still a classic: One of the first videos I ever posted. It starts slow but wait because I guarantee that BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE For the remix click here and scroll down to his picture!

I love the AVIS ad with the older folks jamming out to DMX couldn't find that vid so I dropped in the old school vid: Wish they could have gotten the old peeps to do some of this

Damn check out how energetic the girl is at the start of this video no sound needed1

Happy Mother's Day!

Mom. I Love you!

None of my teachers did this!

Thanks for this Vid Bex! I guess this link verifies that the video is legit! Can't imagine a kid would rat out his teacher for this!

These 2 idiots should definitely go to jail: Do we really need to run a full trial for them? Couldn't we just put their myspace postings up and ask the jury in the opening statement if they need any extra time to decide?

If you have weed in the car - DO NOT CALL THE COPS!

Since I always praise Texas when things are going great, I should note when one of our players makes a bone headed move. How in the world are you going to call the cops when you have 5lbs of weed in your car! This is probably why he was previously excused to work on his academics the kid needs help.

Book your hotel...

While I know most of you are probably not procrastinators like myself but just in case: I advise you to book your hotel rooms for graduation ASAP. Because of Memorial Day weekend, rooms are disappearing and prices are rising.

Also pick up your cap and gown. My gown is so voluminous I keep thinking I could hide a full bar under there for grad day.

Of Crappy Lawsuits and HOOK 'EM HORNS!

What is with all these Mother’s day lawsuits cropping up? Things like these give our profession such a bad name: I can only shake my head when I read these stories because Lawyers often wonder why our profession is not held in the high esteem it used to enjoy!

I taped an entire Sportscenter just so that I could watch the feature on the Texas Longhorns, spring practice. Watching highlights of the Rose Bowl still gives me goose bumps. I really hope Colt McCoy gets the starting QB gig just because I keep hoping that he will throw a 45 yard pass and I get to hear the ABC announcers on a national broadcast say “Colt 45”. I expect Jordan Shipley and Limas Sweed to stretch defenses and leave CBs in their dust. We may not have Vince but we are still a top team!

The world record has fallen!

Congrats to Gatlin! Interesting tid bit about his coach.

Inability to study, whores and cushions!

You know, trying to study for a PR final after already taking the National test for professional responsibility kind of feels like having sex with the town whore and then afterwards reaching into your pocket to play with the unused condom – it just seems redundant at that point.

Why do professors constantly post practice exams and then not put answer keys along with them? It seems like a tease: “You could be right with your answer then again you could be way off, but we have decided not to let you know either way” This doesn’t happen in real life, it’s not like you do a drivers ed practice run, hit a couple cars but then parallel park perfectly and the instructor just walks out of the car without giving you answers on how to improve!

Are cushions disappearing from the LRC? Each day I enter this place and there seem to be less cushions and more bare chairs. I do not entertain the thought of peeps taking them out since 4 squares of toilet paper give better padding than those crappy cushions so where the hell are they going?

It makes me smile...

So I know that I probably should not take joy out of this since it's a funeral scene but damn it's a funny ad! 'Where you At?'

Give me a True and False exam Damnit!

You know just once I would love a law school exam to be true and false, is it too much to ask? Hey I can even help with the first couple of questions.
  • A third year student will care less about this class than his next meal? T/F

  • If given the choice a third year student would rather watch 1L’s bicker over the merits of a tort case and snigger at their “I am still a law student filled with zeal" demeanors than study? T/F
To the young lady (who was clearly an undergrad) in the Library that was wearing the crisp and tight white shirt and smiled at me, you made my day!

Of scientific Calculators, Old ladies out lifting me and Gangsta study music!

So of the bat, thanks Peter for lending me a calculator. But, I dug around in my garage and found what I expected 2 damn scientific calculators, though both have dead batteries. I just knew I had to have a couple calculators I mean just because I came to Law school does not mean that I am not a bloody Zoologist and no Zoologist worth his dissecting kit is without a calculator and I felt bad for borrowing one!

To all my boys that think they are rocking it in the gym, if you are not hitting the leg weights you are a chump: 69 year old Madeline Albright can leg press 400lbs. In case you think that’s a typo that is 4-hundy! Cot damn! I am rehabbing my knee, but made sure to slap on an extra 25lbs on the press just to make sure that I was over her weight (bear in mind that I do max out the calf machine at 500lbs but thanks to Madame Secretary I will be working bloody hard at the leg press to get back up to full strength – within reason though - wouldn’t want to blow out my knee again just to prove a point)!

Excerpts from the current song that I have in heavy rotation while I study…check the words and you will see why a guy from the ATX who is on his last days of law school will like it…though most peeps probably will not see this as study music!

"The Interview" by Slim Thug
[Woman interviewer]
…Now son you've been doin' it real big for awhile But please, tell us what's the secret to your success? [Slim] I'm a bonafide hustla …This the beginning, y'all ain't seen my last When I call myself a hustla, I ain't talking about moving rocks …[woman interviewer] Now we talk about the style of Texas Now many seem to think cause you got that Texas style That's gonna limit your success Tell us what you think about that [Slim] I'm an A-town (playa) So FUCK y'all (playas) Got a fo'-fo' thatta buck y'all (playas) Stay out my way Cause (playa) I'm not for play … [Woman interviewer] Okay talk to 'em I see you here…But I don't ever see you with any security, Please, what's the word on that [Slim] Pistol grip pump in my lap at all times They be checkin' other fools, but they ain't checkin' mine You run up tryin' you gon' be lyin' down dyin' When you hear that clock clock sound comin' out of the iron I ain't no fuckin' punk, I suggest you (playas) chill Cause if I pop this trunk, then somebody gon' get killed…

Preach on it Slim Thug

I am surprised at the extent of the Zab Judah punishment!

SD just had a mini earthquake!

And of course no one in the LRC felt a damn thing: Earthquake Thanks for letting me know about it Finn!

Bloody hot library and unwillingness to study!

As I sit in the sauna know as the library I reflect on the fact that cushions in here are treated like gold: Difficult to procure and once had people do not seem to want to relinquish them. I understand the need for 3 cushions because many of us have added bulk since law school and thus need 2 for the buttocks and one for the back, but 4 and 5 that’s just greedy! Especially in such a time of need like everyone trying their hardest to study in as comfortable a position as they can try to get in (show some concern for your colleagues you cushion whores).

Bless the person who created Provigil I am so sensory heightened and awake right now I think I can hear a moth on the third floor flapping its wings.

Sad that my main motivation right now for studying is not good grades but the fear that I will be the 3rd year called back in to retake an exam!

Can I really teach myself a class in 2 days when I didn’t learn anything in a whole semester?

The thing I learned in all my classes this year: Get an attorney to deal with any area that requires specialization: Oh and PRE NUP, PRE NUP, PRE NUP. It doesn’t mean you don’t love her (you just love your stuff more)!

A Picture Share!

Best way to study.

Lakers failed! GO SPURS!

Crazy Kobe stat line from the game last night: It was his last game wearing #8 he made 8 field goals; missed 8 field goals; attempted 8 3-pointers and finished with 24 points which is his new uniform number for next year!

Of Cartoons and Procrastination!

In the middle of watching ‘Teen Titans’ I saw an ad for a motorized wheel chair – nothing wrong with that, just seems a bit misplaced!

It is amazing that the more I have to the more TV I find myself watching!

So watching cartoons (and yes I know others have touched on it and I have in the past too) I am amazed at just how much violence is in a single episode. I gave up trying to count how many fights were in this episode of ‘Teen Titans’ it’s an extra violent episode since they are fighting all of their top foes in a supreme battle! And NO I still do not believe that watching cartoons turns normal children towards lives of crime and violence just the weak minded unattended children and even those I am a bit skeptical about!

Who knows though every time I lose a Tekken game I want revenge and a physical release so maybe it’s not the same for violent video games: But never in my life have I tried to double black flip and shoot fire bolts out of my hands!

The amount of sexual tension in ‘Justice League Unlimited’ would make ‘Desperate Housewives’ proud, and the drawing of the female characters has gotten even sexier, or maybe I just need a girlfriend since something tells me I should not find cartoon babes sexy. “If it’s all the same with you I would rather snap your neck with my bare hands” Damn what kind of dialogues is that for a cartoon? It sounds more like a mob movie.

I am seriously freaked out by this cartoon: Flushing peeps into outer space so that they die: Completely draining a person’s essence in order to power a machine: Trying to become a God in order to rule the universe this material is just crazy and scary!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

To my favourite Gouda stacker!

Some sights from my Texas trip! More to come

Sometimes you just want to blow stuff up

Cops just don't seem to like that though
We love our star!
We really, really, love our STAR!

Finally found my Texas pics...enjoy!

A solid Texas Meal
I just love this woman: It's Austin's big F-U to H-town!
The Vehicle I was stranded in on the lake
The reason why Austin's night life buries San Diego's in the dust, not only can we drink later but I can get top quality chinese food till 4am! Step up Diego!
I miss the Tower, best spot to shoot I mean see the sights!
Alright ok, he did start with us first! But if you think he is bad, just remember y'all voted him in, we were fine with him as Governor! Though I hear that he does not like my people

A combination of so many things I love: Rum, Mardi gras and Texas winning in Football! All thats missing is a copy of the bible and no football is not religion in Texas - it just feels like that!

Our capitol is beautiful and probably larger than yours...if you doubt it, google it, then suck it: We are HUGE!

Can there be any doubt about what REALLY goes on in this establishment? I know I know it is all for therapy, I was tempted to run up and see how it looked inside but I just knew with my luck the cops would raid just at that moment and no one would believe that I was just there to look around!

Can you imagine these prices at a downtown bar in SD? These are the prices at one of the largest bars in downtown ATX! Still not as cheap as 25cent Sundays but it's a start!

Of stereotypes, the Common/Jurassic 5 show and toothbrushes

Somewhat long but let’s be honest its finals and spring and you are looking for a reason to procrastinate

I love the fact that the lady at the drug store took one look at my new hair cut and could not stop laughing…I am with her; plus I got bored

So the KK Klique could not stop laughing last night at this white guy rocking a purple polo with the jeans sagged so low the crotch was at his knee and to complete the ensemble he had a sweater – which by itself would not sound bad except for the fact that the sweater was tied around his neck in the style of those horrible 80s movies with the preppy kids. As bad as all that was and as out of place as he looked we would probably have ignored it except for the fact that he was with a hottie who had her red thong pulled so high up that you could not held having your eyes drawn to it and she was grinding him like he was the stripper pole that she had just left at work.

  • Mini classic moment; during the show when the song “Golddigger” came on one could not help but point at the above young ‘lady’ and shout “Oh she a gold digger”

  • Sadly when walking back to our cars we saw the preppy guy walking back to his car with the sweater bunched up, a pissed off look on his face and Alone!!!

  • So in prep for the show we were all trying to figure out what time to get to school since we didn’t want to miss any of the show but really…Was there really a fear that the show headlined by black performers at the predominantly white school would…

  • Start on time?

  • Be well attended? Though there was a larger crowd than expected

  • Hmm a show with a large black audience and an audience of white persons who love hip hop constantly had mini puffs of weed smoke floating to the ceiling: Nope no one saw that coming! The amount of weed there made my friend high without her touching a single blunt

  • Is it really a concert if there isn’t a flask of liquor snuck in? I don’t care how old you are, sneaking drinks is always fun…pre arrival phone call: “Hey, Hey can you hear me? Are they searching people at the gate?”

  • Hmm drunk and high white chicks that like to dance are surrounded by black guys looking for white chicks who are drunk and high! Like the line from Scary Movie 1 “Party at Cindy’s house: Drunk white bitches for everyone!” I know it may be sad that I have a line from that movie memorized but come on think about it! Next time you are at a party with more than 2 horny guys scream out that line and watch the reaction.

  • I do love the girl behind me who while she is being grinded on by no less than three black guys shouts out “I need another blunt”

  • Looking around in class I am amazed at the amount of persons on myspace

  • I should not act superior since I am IMing the 2 persons sitting beside me

  • Too many of my generation get their news from either The daily show or blurbs on MTV or BET

  • So I purchased a new toothbrush last night and it came with a tongue scraper on the back of the head of the brush, which when I was purchasing it elicited this comment from me “Cool I can get a tongue scraper without having to buy one!”. I should add that I normally just brush my tongue with my toothbrush like most of us were told to do 15 years ago by our orthodontists but of course I now scorn that because I have a tongue scraper.

Thing is, I didn’t think about just what would happen when using a toothbrush that has a tongue scrapper attached. While it is cool to use it to scrape the tongue…it scrapes every damn where else while brushing. While brushing my molars my cheeks got “tongue scraped”, while brushing my incisors my lips got “tongue scraped”and while doing the wisdom teeth the above gums got “tongue scraped”. I am not yet sure if I can deal with every part of my mouth being scraped just for the opportunity to boast that I have a tongue scraper on my toothbrush. I would love to end this with the words “…and tongue scraper is the new technique of my girlfriend but sadly this is just about a toothbrush”
  • I buy a new toothbrush every 3-4 months and none have been the same in the last 2 years: toothbrush tech changes faster than computers and I cannot resist purchasing a new type when it comes on the market claiming to be the latest and greatest: Yes I am a sucker for flashy packaging

Let’s end this with a mini rhyme: no pills needed for this one…

My best friend in school has an upcoming birthday
Her nicest glare at me resembles a death ray
To treat her right there is nothing I won’t pay
But broke like a joke is what I must say!

Haha part of that isn’t true: I budgeted. After all once someone gets you a Playstation 2 (though I still wonder if that wasn’t just done to allow for a vehicle to stomp me in Tekken) and helps you through law school you have to treat them right!

Damn it the Cali – J is a poet
Now act like you know it!

Maybe studying isnt that bad?

As I sit here in the LRC pretending to study while listening to Three six mafia’s ‘Ass and Titties’ I must say the view is spectacular today. I am sitting in a clearing because I avoided a cubicle in the hope it wouldn’t feel too depressing to be in the library and to be honest it wasn’t that bad. I know every time I am in the LRC I comment on the view but damn this spring seems to be even better than last time; the roses are definitely in bloom. And yes if you came up and spoke to me and then saw this post you are probably part of the flowers in bloom portion of the post – deal.

Damn basketball is getting rough...and presidential humor

I think he misunderstood when the coach said "Do whatever it takes to get your hand on the ball"

I do love the fact that the President was chill enough to make fun of him self using his look-alike

Not that shocking that the President would stop smiling half way through Colbert’s piece

Hopefully closer to Clippers v Lakers!

There is no doubt that I dislike/hate/loathe the Lakers and have a rather mild dislike of the Suns but their series is the best series in the Playoffs right now! I had planned to study during the game but that thought was abandoned about 6 minutes into the game. Bloody Kobe is sick with it!

This is what I need...I have just listened to this song about 10 straight times!

Etta James
A Sunday Kind Of Love

"I want a Sunday kind of love
A love to last past Saturday night
And I'd like to know that it's more than love at first sight
And I want a Sunday kind of love
Oh, yeah yeah
…

Oh, I'm hoping to discover
A certain kind of lover
Who will show me the way

And my arms need someone
Someone to enfold
To keep me warm when Mondays and Tuesdays grow cold
Love for all my life to have and to hold
…
I don't want a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday, Friday or Saturday
…
I want a Sunday kind of love
Oh, yeah
Sunday, Sunday, Sunday
I want a Sunday kind of love"

Ah they do not make good music like this any more: You may have heard this song in the Docker’s SF ad but damn no one sings it like Etta James, God I just wish to have what she is singing about in my life.

More than meets the eye

So there is supposed to be a Michael Bay directed ‘Transformers’ movie in early 2007: I loved watching the cartoon as a kid and I hope the movie does it justice.

I just checked out my “Movie Trailers on Demand” channel, I figured I might as well since nowadays when I go to the movies (when I can afford to) all I keep seeing are the same crappy commercials I can see at home. It is a bit weird though, to just sit at home and watch movie trailers!

Still encouraging peeps to listen to the Chamillionaire’ album The Sound of Revenge “Oh no there's some trouble in town…Chamillitary man”
“I don't know who you are
But you seem very nice
So will you talk to me?
Shall I tell you a story?
Shall I tell you a dream?
They think I'm crazy
They don't know how I feel” -- Think I’m Crazy by Chamillionaire feat Natalie

I have got to work on my Tekken 5 skills, because I am getting beat on like a drum!

I love the fact that T.J. Ford had a great game tonight (15 assists): HOOK ‘EM HORNS! The kid has come back from so much!

Mexico has just boosted its Tourism!

By legalizing drugs they are guaranteed more visitors! It is basically Amsterdam just across the border - without the European history, wealth etc...Amazing that they will allow you to carry even yay and H!

I DELETED A BLOG POST

I have done something that I do not like to do. But I did it because, though it helped me to write out my feelings and air them out it prompted too many questions and theories as to who I was talking about and, I do not want others to be affected, just because I have decided to air out my own issues. I did however save the document so who knows later on I may repost it but for now it remains saved on my pc.

The reason sleeping pills and rap music do not mix!

This is the result of listening to rap music after taking sleeping pills and not falling asleep: it is a mixture of lyrics or adapted lyrics from current songs and some of my own random thoughts: I wasn’t going to post this and then I told a friend about it and now I know I have to…if you can’t laugh at yourself you shouldn’t laugh at others and without that I would die!

If you must pick a song to put it to, pick the beat in the Young Juc track “Itz going down” that is obscure enough that I don’t think most peeps will be able to find a song to sing along to…though I do have the fear that for some reason “Mary had a little lamb” was on my brain at the time! Could be because it was one of the first I learned on the piano!
15 years of learning classical piano led to this…

Please forgive me for all that I have said
Part of me wants to leave you alone,
And part of me says that I am over you
Give me a chance to be a better man,
Because I know I can change just for you
Phil Collins sang of the air tonight
But I feel like expressing my fear tonight
Can it be love if I don’t trust the feeling?

Not everybody loves me, but I’m still fly
But you should be my girl, my baby girl
Hit your ex with that wood grain
Just watch that red stuff flow and swirl
<Editor’s note: Apparently at this point gangsta rap must have come on since the lyrics have become all about the removal of rivals>
Let him wonder the meaning of insane in the membrane
It’s all about survival
So I eliminate any rival
This aint no smack a bitch slap a ho rhyme
For that no man should have time
I am one of the kings of Day-go

<I think this was the hook>
Why, oh why, oh why, oh, oh, oh, why?
Because it’s the pain you must feel
In order to be the one to heal

I know it was more than love at first sight
Because your flesh I still want to bite
It has been 2 + 1 years too long
Waiting for you this Cali J has been true
So I grabbed a pen and wrote this song
<apparently my brain ignored the fact that I was on my laptop and that I have not voluntarily held a pen in ages>
For you the left side has stayed warm
There have been others but none quite like you
So I drop this rhyme because you have to stay my girl true

Of Sopranos, Babi Kecap and 'lifestyles of Reggie Bush'

Finally the Sopranos has stepped up its game though sadly rather than tying up loose ends it seems to be creating more and more…It was crazy to see Lauren Bacall, Wilmer Vallderama and Sir Ben Kingsley on the show and even crazier to see Lauren Bacall get knocked the hell out – that is a screen icon taking a punch to the jaw!

So I tried making Babi Kecap for the first time ever tonight, the talker seemed to enjoy it in between her phone calls while my roomie was a bit wary of the taste.

It is no secret my hatred of USC (despite UT taking care of them in the Rosebowl) but I would hate to see the Reggie Bush issue cause them to have to forfeit games etc. Sportscenter is reporting that there is even talk of vacating his school records and possibly even taking back the Heismann trophy (I hope that is just talk)! To the Texas fans sending emails saying Vince should now get the trophy SHUT THE HELL UP this is no way to win a trophy. Though I felt Vince should have won the Heismann out right this is not the way to now get it! I would like to think that those fans are persons who never attended UT!

Rare that I agree with you but...

Good Job Skip!!!!

I should a wear a suit to the bar more often…

So I love my new favorite bar tender Hannah who after this exchange
Me: “Hannah I love this glass and I am going to take it home what do I need to do to make this happen?”
H: “Just don’t let me see it leave”
Me: “thanks Hannah”
H: “Well if you are going to take that one you might as well take this one [hands me a second glass] so that you have the pair”
…gave me fancy bar glasses and allowed me to take a bottle of Tabasco home. I have never purchased a bottle of Tabasco though I have never been without a bottle in my home the 7 years that I have lived in America!

Big ups to BLSA, SALSA, APALSA, PALSA and LA RAZA the diversity formal was a successful event, I enjoyed it tremendously and applaud the effort!

Exes – God’s way of keeping us honest

So every time that I think that I have become a better person, I talk to my ex and find out that I am as bad or worse than I was before.

Apparently it is the worst thing on earth for a guy to ask a young lady shortly after she has made a joke about having a baby in 9 months these words
me: do u want to get pregnant by anyone
me: and if not now
me: anytime soon?”
in an IM conversation. I know that I say a lot of inappropriate things (mainly because I am so tired of the façade that the normal niceties of polite conversation demand) but I was still a bit surprised to be reprimanded for showing curiosity as to when a friend would want to have a baby! But I accept that I was ‘dead wrong’

“Maybe you, maybe me, maybe we could fall in love”

Registration material

Last night was a super-bowl night: that is coming home after a night of partying, and drinking a bowl of soup and then eating a bowl of ice cream. Always a crazy night when one goes out and hears about their reputation…denied tongue boxing (a term I was introduced to tonight) because one supposedly has too many options for that activity? “The streets are talking”
So nothing like telling one professor that you will be living at their house at the end of summer while taking a shot with another professor while planning to watch football in Texas with another. I love our school!

“The homicidal, suicidal, genocidal maniac”—you have to love that title

I was told that there was a rumor that I am not going to the spring party: though I disagree with the allocation of funding for this event and have not been shy about that; I will definitely be going to the spring party! Look for me in pink

“Explanation is the midway point between excuse and reason”

God Save the Queen she turns 80 today! I may live in America now but she is still my sovereign…

Look out for the Dallas Stars to win it all in the NHL and the Spurs to take it in the NBA

Some Guilty pleasures...

So as I see the ad for the movie ‘Stick it’ from the writers of ‘Bring it On’ while I watch ‘Parental Control’ it made me think back on some of the things that I as a guy like and know that other guys like too but most just cannot or will not admit. Most guys I know loved ‘Bring it On’ despite the fact that it was a “Cheerleader chick flick” but most do not want to admit it in public! Like I recently got busted watching ‘Charmed’ in my defense my ex loved that show and because I was a GREAT boyfriend I watched it with my arm around her and slowly very slowly got hooked; when we broke up I occasionally caught myself watching episodes then I went 2 years without watching it then I got DVR and damn it, it made it so easy to watch; just let the system record it and then watch it all in 40 minutes that I started doing it again but never when my roomie was around or anyone else for that matter till I got busted.

Other guilty pleasures: I have to have to have to have at least one tub of ice cream in the freezer; I have been known to have 6 tubs in the freezer – harder to do now that we keep restocking the meat at Costco.
  • Stocking multiple varieties of Rum

  • The fact that I secretly plan ways to trip my friends as they try to walk at graduation

  • That I check the web for American Idol results

  • I am addicted to Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy

  • I cannot fall asleep without the TV

  • I occasionally stop breathing when asleep but the rush I get upon waking up and realizing that I made it…while it freaks me out for a sec makes me feel extra alive in the morning

  • I sometimes like to run the air condition in the car so cold that my eye lids start to feel like they are freezing shut

  • I watch American politics with the same amount of dispassionate interest that I watch an NFL game that I have no special team to root for

  • Staring at my friend in class

  • I HATE myspace.com yet cannot stop using it

  • I love to watch Fox News: Bill O’Reilly is a comedian because he takes himself so damn seriously, I love the fact that he never lets a guest finish a sentence that he disagrees with!

Registration aid or at least I hope so...

So it is that time of the year again: Last year I did a blog and I thank those who contributed…but I want/need your help again: Click on comments and add your 2 cents to the material that I have already added. This is the link to last year’s blog so that you can see additional comments
Some of my classes that I care to comment on
  • Crim pro with Dripps was a great class and he really forces you to try and form an opinion and by doing so teaches you material that you need to know

  • Evidence with Devitt is a fun and energetic class: D’s teaching style is not for the faint of heart. No section of the class room is safe from his roving eye and the usual trick of not locking eyes with the professor does not work when trying to avoid being called on

  • Wills and Trust with Lilly: his teach style tends to be more in line with the flow of molasses but he is a great/awesome grader: class attendance is not mandatory or even encouraged

  • Tax with Burke: She was a fun professor – but come on it’s tax

  • Lawyering Skills II with Hartwell: In my mind it is THE MUST take class in law school – if you do not like speaking in public its perfect for you because it will force you to do that and if you like to hear the sound of your voice, well its tailor made

  • Cal Civ Pro with Heiser: it is a practical course and will be added to the bar next year so good to have it under your belt. He makes the material flow and keeps the class very organized

  • Community Property with Wesley: (currently in that class) it appears to be rather chill will know more after the final attendance is taken via a paper handed round for initials. He is one of the most relaxed professors I have ever seen and he tries to make the class relevant to every day life

  • Employment Law with Lobel: Judgment still being formed – powerpoints are available for all the material which is a bonus

  • PR with Murr: She loves and the Cali J means LOVES stories and analogies so if you like that teaching style you will be very comfortable in this class – it flows along nicely and she encourages class participation – which does sometimes lead to ridiculous situations of students raising their hands to spout nonsense

  • Paper requirement w/ no one: I resolved the writing requirement by doing an independent research which was great because it allowed me to work on my own with a Professor as an advisor and removed from the stricture of the class room environment (Can be taken for 1 or 2 credits and the choice is YOURS)

Please add any questions or comments that you have (and no u do not have to register for a blog to comment – just click on other[the web page portion is optional]) and hopefully we can all help each other!

While I do enjoy a good slam page now and again this page was meant to be for help and constructive criticism so let’s please avoid the personal shots at professors at least for this page!

Of lock up and sunny days...

So before I dissolve into what will turn into another round of random musings and rants the REGISTRATION help blog can be found by clicking this LINK!
A guy in Massachusetts was convicted of 7 counts of child molestation only received 5 years? While 21 U.S.C. 844(a) requires “… a person convicted under this subsection for the possession of a mixture or substance which contains cocaine base shall be imprisoned not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years, and fined a minimum of $1,000, if the conviction is a first conviction under this subsection and the amount of the mixture or substance exceeds 5 grams,” In case you do not realize that substance they are talking about is Crack and it’s a mandatory minimum sentence of 5 years for possession of the item while a guy ruins the lives of SEVEN kids and serves FIVE years the same amount of time that someone who might have been holding has to get while the abuser’s jail time was discretionary!
My dear I am really sorry about what you had to go through: It is amazing that sometimes the thing you think you most want, once it happens you feel no joy in it!

In about a month I graduate and yet my main concern right now is trying to figure out ways to keep my parents away from meeting ALL of my friends…(and yes I do not care if you say it will be rude if you don’t get to say hi)

Having classes on a clear day is nothing short of Criminal…this Thursday is the 20th day of the 4th month of the year and it is expected to be a clear day, I suspect there will be a ton of peeps on the beach getting baked. (I will never understand the American fascination with 4/20)

Happy Birthday...

Natasha

Wow the Sopranos are heating up – Vito’s days are numbered…sorry about the news X

Not leaving without a fight!

My final article is out this week in Motions, pick up your copy now…and yes I did become a little weepy towards the end. Aaron D can admit it, (I will miss school) can you?

Diversity Formal!

So since many of us have never been to a Barrister’s ball at our school this Friday’s Diversity Formal is going to be the closest thing that we will have. You can get more info from your BLSA, APALSA or La Raza rep!

What kind of father are you?

So a kid in church today looked a lot like Derrick Zoolander’s kid, halfway through the sermon I think he shot me BLUE STEEL!

Am I wrong (probably) to think that the parents on Parental Control (MTV show where parents who do not like their child’s significant other pick 2 dates for them to go on in the hope that at the end of the dates she/he will pick their candidate and dump the current bf/gf) are basically WHORING their kids out and creating the future sluts of America…such a bad concept! Plus no real parent would sit there and let these kids trash talk them the way they do; someone must have sedated these fathers before they let their daughter’s bfs talk about how much a slut their daughter is!

Looking at the Bar Review pics for this week either I was having the best day of my life; or I have finally learned to smile in pictures (ok truth be told I have been practicing laughing right at the moment of the picture so as to stop my [now] natural inclination to mean mug in the pic)

Happy Easter

Y'all!

Let's hug it out!

You know when you know a low blow is really bad? When you are watching a repeat broadcast of a fight, you know the low blow is coming; you expect it, you (think) are prepared for it and yet when the blow lands you jump in your seat and feel sympathy pain in your nether regions. The low blow that Judah landed on Mayweather was so bad that you can see Mayweather’s cup shift. That was just foul…almost as bad as me betting a friend on the outcome of the fight…

“What it is what it do?”
“Let’s hug it out bitch!” DAMN YOU HBO for premiering Entourage June 11th smack in the middle of my bar studies.

Exes, bars and New Drugs!

Best thing about hitting a bar and seeing the ex that no one knows you dated is that you can talk to her for a bit and everyone just thinks your hitting on a new girl and leaves u alone!

So any regular Cali-J reader knows that I routinely make fun of or am appalled by commercials that I observe. The newest one to creep me out is for Cymbalta (targets both serotonin and norepinephrine though the ad does not mention that) which uses the tag line “Because depression hurts”: The ad goes on to note that if you start to have thoughts of suicide stop taking immediately????? What the hell? Your anti-depression drug could lead you to suicide? What is the bloody point of taking it (though I guess killing yourself does end depression)?

Other things to consider from www.about.com “In February 2004 a college student taking part in a study of Cymbalta hanged herself in a company research facility. Lilly assures us that there's no evidence that Cymbalta was to blame. FDA studies seem to support this. The research reportedly found that there were no difference in the rate between users of the drug and those given a placebo.”

An ad I love: “Get that money man”

Another beautiful day in San Diego! Suck it East Coast!

Too nice a day to be in class plus peeps were getting to me. Only rational response-walk out, hence the mobile blog.

Congrats on the win!

“Stand behind Martin Luther King, but I'm more like Malcolm X” Whoa by lil Kim

So as the older wiser figure in your life I have to say…“you were a bad girl for beating yo roomies ass!” But as a young male raised in the hip hop generation “Damn girl that’s awesome that you whooped dat ass, you a yardie and yu haffi rep ‘if a fassy hole nuh like wi, suck yuh mumma’” I should have you come through and deal with a fassy here that will not stop talking about me; at least against you it’s a fair fight!

So I tried a Heineken lite today and I have to say it wasn’t bad at all a nice pick me up before I headed to the bar (where I did not have a single drink) and then the gym.

This makes no sense!

Y am I here again?

Ok so it’s the return of in class blog-along: This is where I take comments from my IM with the permission of the imers and create a blog.

25 (2:51:35 PM): If she asks for my opinion, I will say " I am very happy that the exam is graded anonymously, and that in my opinion I think this is more of a joke than a Pheonix Cardinals Football game and that in my humble opinioin you could not teach your way ouot of a paper bag and if I had to choose you or my 7th grade PE teacher to represent me in any legal proceeding it would be the PE teacher in a landslide

13 (3:37:32 PM): she might as well have the voice of the teacher from charlie brown for all i pay attention to her mindless blathering

13 (2:46:14 PM): abooyeah
13 (2:49:16 PM): i think She [prof] is into this weirdo
13 (2:49:21 PM): she is stuttering and nervous
13 (2:49:34 PM): she wants to get harassed by the creepy bald guy
CJ (2:49:46 PM): hahah
CJ (2:49:47 PM): here we go
Cj (2:49:57 PM): oh man thought he might slap her on the ass as he passed

Sweat it out, then pay barbri and cry it out

No one can tell me that paying out for barbri (almost $3,000) does not give you a bit of a moment of shock no matter how rich you are. It’s a bloody 6 week course!

Man clearly I have not been working out enough because I left the gym so fatigued tonight and while I was lifting I was sweating like a pig it is about time I start working harder I have let myself off the hook for too long!
Blessed!

Too lazy to care, too mad to just let it go w/o a comment!

We have become an institution satisfied with mediocrity and sameness. We are satisfied with the road that is easiest and are too often afraid to step out and comment and critique…I had planned on ripping the new SBA a new one after sitting in the meeting because numbers like $6500 spent for 100 persons hoping to recoup $500 (by the way its not a typo that’s $5hundred not $5thousand) just made me livid and then I realized that like much of the new executive board I just didn’t care enough to type it all out. Will I rant and rave if you come to me and ask me? Prolly!

But on to happier things…It probably was not a good idea for me to walk into Bank of America with my hoodie on growling the lyrics from Lumbajacs ‘2Gs’ “Get the money man, get the money man, yo I gotta get that money man!” That track is also the same one used in the new Avis ad with the 3 white guys rocking out to their satellite radio (similar to the Office Space scene) – funny ad!

Vien Dong had shrimp on sale at $3 a lb so I had to of course get some for the fried rice and then saw that Chinese sausage was also on special so had to scoop the maximum that they would allow me to purchase and then stand in line blatantly looking like an outcast…loved it!

Eye candy, fried rice and weight loss

So what it do? Well Sunday dinner has been converted to Monday dinner, which means that the meat gets to marinate even longer so you know it will be popping in the rice. Plus for lunch I get to have AZN bbq; it is looking like a Monday of gastronomical delights, which I could use after the horrors of Thurs and Friday. I lost five bloody pounds in 48 hours. Don’t worry I am putting in over time trying to put that back on – damn I’m a fat ass.

So couldn’t do Sunday dinner because the D-Geezy swooped me up (congrats on the dual subs in the truck – when my ears stop bleeding I will tell you how it sounded) and we cruised to Stingaree for lunch and a 944 Magazine party then we had to hit up the Wavehouse and Da Beachcomber/Penannt for more drinks and observations that’s all! Today is just another little slice of why I love So-Cal it was a great day out weather was fine especially on the roof top of Stingaree and the eye-candy was popping.

The gov ruins my diet, lesbians and Sunday dinner

They need to stop running those ads that are supposed to warn parents about child hood obesity, the message might be important but damn the ads are ruining my diet: Bloody ad comes on and starts talking about Soda, doughnuts, cake, cookies, ice cream, chips damn it, is this an ad or a temptation brought to life? Every time I see the bloody ad I start to snack! Can I sue someone over this…the money I get from that would hire a chef and cure my obesity!

What is it about guys and our egos that if we can’t get someone she must be a lesbian and if we think we have a shot at someone even if she looks and acts 100% like a lesbian she must be bi-sexual? It is amazing to watch and observe. I have not yet played the” oh she didn’t like me so she must be a lesbian” card but I fear that it is coming, I have seen too many of my fellow man play it to be overly confident that I will never play it. So sometimes I enter a bar and all I can do is people watch. Those nights usually happen when I am ill; not that in the mood to party; playing wingman; or just plain in the mood to people watch.
So I am slowly watching a colleague of mine evolve into a pimp/mac/slut whatever term you would like to use, and it is bloody funny!

So I have seen on a preview that the kids on American idol will be singing the songs of Queen next week – way to keep it relevant to the young folks, but beyond that aren’t Queen’s songs better suited to loud screaming vocals than solo artists? ‘Crazy little thing called love’ might be the best suited for a soloist, but what of the persons who get ‘Another one bites the dust’ or ‘We are the champions’ (or will that be saved for a group sing along). Guess this means Queen has an album coming out!

Today’s Sunday dinner menu:
Keeping it basic; Special fried rice (chicken, pork, Chinese sausage and shrimp) and jerk pork. I may if not feeling too lazy make some apple tarts or turnovers, I don’t think I have enough apples for a pie. And have to finish it all off with a milk shake! I dare say I enjoy Sundays!

Feeling like I want to die!

So this is one of those moments when it really sucks. I am suffering from food poisoning and this blows, all the usual symptoms plus a mild fever! I must apologize to my peeps at Bar Dynamite it was a fun time I was just not physically up for it, sorry we had to leave early (though granted bitching at me for leaving at 1.30am from a bar when I was sick is a little harsh). But I handled it like a man and didn’t bitch and moan while there; it’s amazing that while driving adrenaline kicks in and I can handle bad feelings but once I got home it all hit me like a blow to the stomach and now I am one step away from the fetal position.

Assassin thank your lucky stars that we were w/ cool peeps; after burning that bridge I was quite willing to drive off and leave you. Remember the rule: Secure your ride before ditching your original!

Happy Birthday...

Jessica and Lanelle: Lanelle a nice person would let you win dominoes on your birthday…so I guess that means that we cannot play today!

Cali-J excited about class?

You know what…I am honored that my professor Orly Lobel trusts me enough that she has given me the most non PC member of her class an assignment to make a presentation on an article written by an anti-feminist female regarding sex in the work place…I had planned to just loaf off this assignment but of course that thought immediately disappeared when I read the material. So now I have power points and hand outs ready for class later today…should be damn fun!

Any excuse in a pinch

So I love living in So Cal though it cracks me up that Assassin and I will find any excuse to skip class: Case in point; today we skipped class because it was raining and of course since no one in Socal can drive in the rain it was safer for us not to risk crossing the street to get to class – you know safety first! I do love that the decision was made by us (or at least me) about 2 hours before class while it was still just light rain. I looked up and saw clouds and made the decision I could not risk walking in the rain I might get wet. Plus with strange sonic booms that shook the apartment earlier in the day it was best to just lay low.

24 isn't the only thing with a cool countdown!

Just a cool thing to take note of…this morning(04/05/06) at 1am or this afternoon a bit of a cool phenomenon occurs if you are staring at a digital clock with a full read out at 2 minutes and 3 seconds past one it should read 01:02:03, 04/05/06. Who says you never hear any cool stuff on AM radio.

Damn I need some gym motivation.

Some rambling...

It’s another 5 am post so I cannot be held 100% responsible for what I say.

  • Damn Toccara is looking decent on the cover of King Magazine!

  • Watching Flavor of Love with other peeps is so damn funny. Being able to comment on what each crazy heifer is going to do or should do or did just adds even more joy to the experience. I can’t believe they are thinking of a sequel and I am ashamed of myself because I know that I am going to watch it.

  • NY should have slapped that bitch: when she pulled the swim move if she had just swung a little faster she would have connected…If you are going to spit on someone you better step up and be ready to throw some bows.

  • Wonder if Russell Simmons and Kimora are breaking up now that she is an established commodity?

  • Can you feel proud to call O.D.B. your baby’s daddy?

  • I know peeps are saying Mariah looks big in the Centrino ad, but so what? I still love that chic and would sling mad…

  • I think Natasha Bedingfield is cute or am I just drawn in by the accent?

  • Finally got back into the gym; the barest minimum of cardio since the knee is still not stable enough, over worked the chest since I was trying to make up for the weeks that I just felt too unmotivated to go to the gym (hate walking around with a knee brace) and now I am so sore I can barely lift my arms (guess I can’t do any reading for class – sweet I love built in excuses)

  • Hard to believe that Delay is stepping down from congress; he always seemed like the type that would be too stubborn to ever retire

  • Praise to the father!

  • Should I take an ambien and just ignore the fact that I have classes today?

  • DVR has ruined my life – I do not have it in my bedroom and every few minutes I look up at the TV and try to rewind something or pause something: LIVE TV SUCKS!

  • It’s probably sad but ever since I read the reports about alcohol + ambien = comas or possible sleep walking and or sleep eating I have really, really wanted to see the effects. I do not want to do it myself – I have I think mixed enough sleeping pills in my life but I am willing to watch and monitor anyone who would like to take a healthy ( I guess its actually unhealthy) amount of alcohol and then use it to chase an ambien pill or 2.

  • Could I be held for murder if something went wrong? Hmm! Chance I am willing to take for the pursuit of science.

  • Flavor Flav should be banned from TV if only to preserve my sanity and my belief in humanity.

  • Infomercials have gone downhill…it’s rare that I find myself drawn to watch them anymore

NCAA finals game watching...

At the Cali-j’s crib: I think I will do a baked rigatoni and all are welcome!

Just one of the fun things we did in Mexico. Viva la raza!

"When you are a kid you do it, just because you like it!"

The definition of classy…

You may be confused like the people from wordnet.princeton.edu and define classy as “elegant and fashionable” but you would be wrong. Because the true definition of classy is to be found by watching ‘The Flavor of Love Reunion show’ a program that some how managed to roll the first 4 years of the ‘Jerry Springer Show’ (you know the fun time with all the fights, baby mommas, klan members and transvestites) into a one hour program of cat fights and bitchiness. New York’s words to pumpkin “I aint gone spit in yo face cuz I am too classy for that but…I am going to slap the sh#t out yo ass” THAT’S CLASSY!

Maybe it's because I am not American...

But I told my friend my menu plans for today’s game watching: Wine, beer, wings, pizza and maybe some pot stickers, and the reaction was…”WINE WITH GAMES” “Wine does not mix with sports” I ask why? After all we enjoy beer with sports and a rum and coke with sports why not sip, sip, sip some of the tasty beverage that originates from grapes “Mmm grapey good”

So it’s an open invite to my peeps, there will be food and beverages at the cali-j’s crib and there is even some left over jerk pork.

Sean Paul performances

About Me

My photo
Cali-J ueber alles in der Welt. Some think that I am mean; (I call them friends), in fact I am not that mean. What I am is sarcastic and dry to the sandpaper level. I have friends that I have never said a kind word to their face, but I praise to the ends of the earth to anyone I know and will defend them to the end. That’s just how I roll! My boys know that I am down for them, my girls know that no matter what I will keep them safe (and occasionally flirt with them [If you are a female friend of mine and think I haven’t flirted with you it just means you didn’t notice, it was extremely subtle or…not yet ]). No one is safe from my sarcasm even my own parents; hence of course as a kid I spent a significant amount of time in punishment. I treat people with respect if I think they deserve it – everyone starts off with the same amount of respect from me (a lot). You don’t need to earn my respect; you have to keep my respect.
